When you’re shopping for a used vehicle—especially online—having access to real, unbiased information makes a big difference. That’s where the Vehicle Condition Report comes in.

At Repo.com, we include a visual condition report with every eligible vehicle. It’s a simple, color-coded summary of what we observed at intake, and it helps you understand the vehicle’s condition before you decide to move forward.

What Is a Vehicle Condition Report?

Our listing report is a visual walkaround summary. It’s not a warranty, inspection, or guarantee—but it does give you a solid, up-front snapshot of the vehicle’s condition, based on what we could see or hear during intake.

It uses a clear grading system:

  • OK – Passed: No defect detected
  • M – Marginal Condition: May require attention
  • X – Defect: Requires early attention

Each item is grouped by system (e.g. engine, brakes, electrical) so you can scan quickly and get a sense of what’s working, what might need TLC, and what could require repair.

Where to Find the Report

Every eligible vehicle listing on Repo.com will include the report directly under the photos or within the “Listing Report” tab.

You’ll also see a note about whether the vehicle includes:

  • A 30-Day Complimentary Warranty
  • Powertrain coverage (where eligible)
  • A link to the online photo gallery, which helps support the notes in the report

What the Report Covers

We break the vehicle down by system:

Body & Interior

Checks for damage, rust, and wear on panels, paint, glass, and interior trim. Example items:

  • Paint condition
  • Glass
  • Left/right side body panels
  • Interior seats and dash

Engine & Cooling

Highlights observations related to:

  • Engine mounts and noise
  • Oil pan, belts, hoses
  • Water pump and coolant levels

Driveline & Suspension

  • Transmission test drive
  • Shift linkage and mounts
  • Universal joints and drive shafts

Electrical & Accessories

Looks at functionality of:

  • Power windows, locks, mirrors
  • Headlights, taillights, turn signals
  • Instrument panel and horn

Brakes & Fuel System

We check visible items like:

  • Flex hoses, fluid levels
  • Fuel lines, tank, muffler
  • Emergency brake function

What It Doesn’t Cover

It’s important to know what this report isn’t:

  • It’s not a mechanical inspection
  • It doesn’t include diagnostics or scan tools
  • It doesn’t check behind panels, under trim, or inside engine components

It’s a visual and audible review only. It’s meant to provide a general sense of condition—not a detailed technician’s evaluation.

That’s why we always recommend:

  • Reviewing the report alongside the vehicle history report (which we also provide)
  • Examining the photo gallery
  • Asking questions if anything’s unclear

Important Disclaimer (And Why It’s There)

Every report includes a clear notice:

This report is visual only. No responsibility can be accepted for defects or conditions which may be discovered by dismantling or hidden by bodywork. This is not a warranty or guarantee.

In short, we’re as transparent as possible—but used vehicles are complex, and not every issue can be seen on the surface. That’s also why we offer:

  • A Limited Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee
  • A Complimentary Warranty
  • Open-ended Sellback Options

Final Thoughts

A vehicle condition report is one of the best tools you can use to shop smarter. It won’t tell you everything—but it will help you understand what you’re looking at, what to expect, and where to ask questions.

At Repo.com, we provide these reports to give you more control and more confidence, no matter where you’re buying from.
